We have often overtaken this place at our visit to the republic place de la where we stay. but at the same time we tried and were not disappointed. if you wish to eat good, fast service for good price this is the place. we sat up because it was a rainy day. the pizza with the aperitif of the day 12.8€ was also the entre cote my man very good. I'm coming back here.
Just in the middle of the old town, very central location. The food was very good, especially the duck dishes were great. The food was carefully prepared. The service was very good and the waiters were very informative. They speak a couple language which is something...not very usual on this part of the world. Nice experience.
We have stopped in the wonderful place de la republique to choose from a series of outside eating facilities, it is a sunny day. we decided what the most busy looked like. the lunch set menu was a pleasant 12.8 euro and offered a variety of...of decisions. our first cure was a caesar salad and it was absolutely delicious. there were chickens and anchovy, as well as an excellent dressing. I followed this with a hauch, accompanied by the house chips. also that was excellent as the pizza my mannes. service was professional and appropriate and everything we felt was a great place for an honest, non-nothing, cheap lunch.
I heard tonight that 3 well known restaurants in the Centre of Perpignan are closing. Personally, I think they all tried to appeal to a public that was prepared to pay a little over the odds for a quality menu, but without any particular innovation...or adventure involved. The Petit Moka comes up with the same goods, but at a price that is is much more correct. And let's not forget that you can drive south from Perpignan into Spain (1 hour) and eat as well or better for half the price. My only criticism would be of the Place de la République itself, which totally lacks any character or ambiance. So, don't expect anything special at the Petit Moka, but you should eat well, and you won't be ripped off !!
