Restaurants have gotten so expensive in the last few years that I hate going out to eat. I live in Central Wisconsin. I stopped here yesterday and was pleasantly surprised at the reasonable prices. My cheeseburger was perfect. Rhubarb pie was awesome. I will definitely be stopping here on my next trip to the UP. The diner is actually in Beecher, not Pembine.

Thought it was about time I recommended this restaurant. Wife and I regularly stop on our trips between UP and Rhinelander. The malts (every single flavor) were excellent and slices of pie even better. Specials are always special with two sides and enough food that we must take something with. Prices are reasonable given the serving size and actually very reasonable given the tastiness of the food. Staff runs at times they get that busy but they have always been pleasant. We are not locals but are treated as if we are. 5 stars all the way around.

There was one other table seated when we arrived. No other customers until we were leaving. We were overcharged for items that brought the price of three simple meals up over $60. Charged us $2 something for tarter sauce, added on $2 something for my side salad that the menu said came with the meal. The service was very slow. I never received my drink refill at all. I was told I would get one when we were ordering our food. I reminded the waitress that, but it just never happened. Was suggested this place on a locals word, big let down.
