I expected it to be a little dry but it was still rich and buttery. They do dessert pretty well too. Still thinking about that chocolate cake, and it came with ice cream.
Outstanding bbq restaurant that had some authentic and flavorful smoked food. We went for lunch and it was pretty slow but the service was attentive. The lunch deals are excellent and the ultimate lunch combo is worth every penny. The ribs and chicken wings were one of the best we tasted in Long Island. I'm very surprised this place is not voted for best of Long Island for bbq resturants. Can't wait to go back and explore more of the menu this summer!
Went here for lunch on a weekday and got the BBQ chicken sandwich. It was pretty empty so service was nice and quick. Sandwich was pretty solid; Mac’n cheese was hot and fresh, definitely recommend as a side. I also got the coleslaw which was excellent it’s of the creamy variety. Didn’t try any but good amount of beers on tap.
If you're craving for good ol' American barbecue, then you can't go wrong in coming here to Bobbique. The St. Louis-style ribs are a must get! BBQ jumbo wings are also great, and the BBQ skewered shrimp will make you want a whole tray of them. Smoked sausage has that perfect snap, though it was a bit saltier for our palate. Pulled pork was excellent. We also got the sliced brisket tray, and it was super tender, melt-in-your-mouth good. The sides were okay accompaniments to the mains. The ambience was also on point for an American styled barbecue place. Apparently, there are sometimes live music featured as there is a stage set, but the day we went no musicians were on scene. Super friendly wait staff as well!! Highly recommended!
While I'm not one whose much for eating off of metal trays and paper, the food here was really good. Better than Mission barbeque. I ate Soo much and still had so much to take home. I recommend the ribs. I prefer my sauce cooked on, but the smoked ribs with the dry rub was a really good experience. The problem I have with places like this is that the sauce is just store bought generic barbeque sauce in a squirt bottle on the table. I believe a barbeque spot should work on making a sauce that's exciting in some way. Doctor it up a bit, you know what I mean? Might get em that fifth star, hmm?
