The restaurant owner Stavros is a very lovely man and great host, giving us the best experience of Greek hospitality and delicious homemade food. The food is freshly cooked, he uses fine herbs and the taste is very special. Thank you so much, Stavros for hosting us and giving us a one in a lifetime greek experience. Hope to see you again very soon! Food: 5
A real gem. We had dinner several times, choosing this lovely tavern in Neos Marmaras as the best in all of Sithonia that we visited. Not only genuine food cooked with refinement and passion, but also the atmosphere of the small place where nothing is there by chance. In a secluded position from the pier and the dozens of tourist venues, the two managers welcome you, two very courteous and welcoming guys by nature...there is a great harmony between them which they transmit in every dish they offer. It 's pure love. You can see the open kitchen inside and the pans puffing away, and it already feels like home. It only has about ten tables outside so you have to worry about booking to be guests of these two restaurant artists. Traditional music is the backdrop and hearing them hum while they work is a pleasure. It was a journey into tradition, we left us our dreams of Halkidiki with influences from the sacred Mount Athos which inspired some of the excellent dishes they offer. A note worthy of appreciation is also their precision in the bill, they give you a note of what you ordered together with the receipt and the prices are very honest, far lower than tourist places. Menu studied with great attention always in the canons of good local Greek tradition. The kindness of offering you ouzo before and after the meal and some delicious white grapes gave us the idea of how these two guys have a beautiful philosophy of life in hospitality. We thank them very much for giving us many positive feelings and obviously for cooking excellent traditional dishes. We took home more than just a few great dinners.
Fantastic food, lovely owners with genuine hospitality. I would also give 10 stars if I could.
I went in with some reservations, the reviews being good, I said let's try it, I appreciated the unique details like written in pebbles the reservation, honors you with a tuica from the house, 2,3 olives with a dry bread, I ordered the octopus on a bean puree and sauce on top, the pickled octopus was a bit cold, the Greek salad had the tomatoes cut from the day before, the cucumbers were pale, the pork roast with vegetables was neither stew nor soup, it had an unsightly and tasteless juice, the prices in any other tavern, the average portions, in terms of cleanliness, it is clearly not good, I do not recommend it.
We were very disappointed with this restaurant. The expectations were very high, considering the reviews. We ordered Kleftiko (slowly cooked pork meat with vegetables) and Yahni (steamed fish with spinach). Kleftiko arrived after 10min (where it's supposed to slowly cook) it was tasteless, no salt, no pepper... just terrible. The Fish was the same, only good thing was the beer. We just don't get the hype. Service: Dine in
