We came as a group of 8, first impressions of the restaurant were good, but don't be fooled. We ordered several different curries, I am convinced that the base sauce was the same as there was little to distinguish each. The service was clumsy and we had to remind the waiter of parts of our order several times. The lamb was chewy, but worse still, the chicken was raw in the middle - when we drew the waiters attention he only offered a swap - of course we did not want any more food after this! Absolutely appalling.
We have had Indian food elsewhere in Paris, and frankly weren't that impressed. So the last time we were there, I did some research and found this place, which sounded attractive for its overall good reviews. Wow, what an excellent meal! We didn't want to over-order, so went straight to main courses, classic dishes that we've had in countless iterations: lamb vindaloo, butter chicken, and palak paneer, along with garlic naan and rice. Everything was delicious, beautifully seasoned--portions were plentiful, and the service was attentive but not intrusive. We agreed that we've never had better Indian food anywhere, and that includes SF, LA, Fla., North Carolina, NYC, and Paris.
If u miss Indian food in Paris visit Gwadar. My husband and I had a long trip and longed to have Indian food. This was a great choice. It is a little high end but really hood food. We ordered Palak paneer and Vegetable Biryani. Both were amazing and it satisfied us! Must go!
We went to this restaurant for dinner with high expectations. Firstly the host or manager seemed quite aloof and seemed not very interested in recommending or explaining the menu. Ordered the Kheema nan, Sheekh kabab, Lamb Biryani, Chicken tikka masala, samosa, and assorted breads. We found that all the lamb dishes were served with the same frozen sheek kabab meat just different forms and with curries. Moreover a simple request to the waiter was politely declined saying that they do not serve the guest but will just plonk the dishes and leave. The food, taste, flavours and also the service do not match up to restaurant standards. Finally we were given a hefty bill and we felt very very dissatisifed with our dinner outing with family and friends. Honestly it is best to avoid this restaurant as I'm sure you can find much better Indian restaurants in the beautiful city of Paris!
