Monsoon Indian Cuisine - Palm Springs

Ordered takeout while visiting from out of town. I researched online to find out where to get Indian food and a lot of online reviews mentioned this as a well established and good Indian option. Unfortunately, this isn't the case. Overall, this tasted as if I described Indian food to someone who had never tasted it, and then asked them to make it. Zero depth of flavor, zero spice presence. The tandoori prawns and half chicken were practically flavorless and tasted closer to Chinese sweet and sour over an Indian dish. The chicken biryani was a huge portion of chicken and rice, but completely lacked the whole spices and cashew nuts that are signatures of this dish. The garlic naan did not taste fresh. The only savior to the meal was the raita. If you have had good Indian food before, I would suggest a hard pass on this place. Save yourself the disappointment I just endured.

BOMB. I have the butter chicken, masala tea, naan and rice. Classic, low key and soooooo tasty. I usually don't leave reviews, but I had to shout out that this hostess/witress must be the best I had in Palm Springs. She was so sweet and intuitive, covered the whole restaurant and did it well. Curly hair glasses... someone gives her an increase!

Great little place. The buffet was in place. I have to admit, I'm not Indian cuisine. That said the food was tasteful and plentiful. I liked the nan and butter chicken. When I arrived, there were some other diners, but it was very fast. This is a popular place. Definitely recommend.

Today I realized that this is the same owner of the other place I love. This location has a much precious vibe. It is still a little tight here, but the whole mood is more intimate and comfortable. The other location has much more space and is good if you like it. I do, but I also like the feeling of this place.

Stop here today and found out that they have buffet for lunch, always like Indian cuisine, so I had 2 large plates for lunch,Curry Chicken is good, and the meatballs, the curry went well Witb rice... very tasty plus, they also have Indian Salad, I am not salad fan, so I did not try that. Price is reasonable, and waitress was very polite and hospitable.
