I visited on Saturday afternoon for some drinks. The bartender was well-informed about the wide variety of beers and tastings available. While I didn’t have any food, the menu seemed quite tempting.
What began as a pleasant evening on a lovely patio, enhanced by a decent selection of beers and TVs, quickly took a turn for the worse. The food menu was quite limited, featuring only four burgers, three types of tacos, three sandwiches, and a few appetizers—certainly not ideal for a dinner outing. While the beer selection was fair, it leaned heavily towards IPAs and wheat beers, with only a few pilsners and lagers available. Prices averaged around $7 per glass, but since you can find the same beers for $2 less elsewhere, there's nothing to set this place apart from others. The service was disappointing as well: we waited 10 minutes for someone to take our drink order after being handed the beer menu, then it took another 15 minutes to get our drinks, followed by another 15 minutes before they finally took our food order. What should have been a 30- to 45-minute visit ended up stretching to over 90 minutes before we left. Next time, I think I'll choose the Brown Dog instead.
The atmosphere is incredibly relaxed, and the food is exceptional. While the restaurant down the street was bustling during brunch, Brass Tap promptly served us excellent beers and tasty dishes within just about 20 minutes of sitting down. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating, perfect for enjoying nice weather. Be sure to try the Carolina Sweet fries or tots—they're fantastic!
Wonderful combination of food and beer—it's not easy to find both in one spot. The restaurant offers ample space with plenty of fresh air and natural light. The service was outstanding. Our total came to about $80 for two, which included a couple of beers and our meals. The shared parking lot with Publix is definitely a bonus. The only drawback is the abundance of TV screens, which lends a bit of a sports bar atmosphere. I hope this review is helpful!
