Coming from Maryland, USA, where I enjoy stouts and hoppy IPAs, trying a flight of lagers seemed a bit plain to my taste. I also noticed that most of their beers tasted similar to me. In comparison to other beers in New Zealand, Tui seems to be more of an affordable everyday option, similar to Bud Light in the US. It might be a good choice for a party where you don't mind sharing or wasting beer. The atmosphere of the brewery was nice, with friendly staff and a good flight deal. We even got to take home a souvenir glass, but I would prefer to fill it with local beer.
