After 5 6 times I’ve had enough. They are sneaky, they charge the elderly more, EVERY TIME they change the price of same dish depending what day and/or what mood they’re in. Not to mention I’ve witnessed the male chef coughing and sneezing over the food. Quality has gone down hill whilst their prices have inflated. There are better restaurants in the vicinity . Choose another. I am a local of 30 years who’s had enough. Stay away.
Hadn't been to this restaurant for a long time but thought we would give it a try as they had moved premises. Food was beautiful! Good servings, service was excellent, fully licensed although you could take bottled wine. Will be back!
I have ordered both takeout and attended events at this restaurant. They never fail to impress! The quality and level of friendliness have remained consistent for over 20 years.
We started venturing out a bit with this COVID-19 crisis in NSW and visited for lunch the House of Lee in Padstow, NSW and were we glad we did. We order two of the lunch specials (a prawn omelette with fried rice (wife) and I order the sweet and sour pork for our mains and as an entrée we had an order of steamed dumplings. The dumplings came out quickly, and they were huge, and the hoisin sauce and sweet sauce complement them very well. Shortly afterwards, our mains came out, and I struggled to finish my since the serve was huge and my wife did not finish hers and had to ask for a take-away container. The sweet and sour pork was crunchy and tender and superbly cooked while the omelette was tasty and my wife wished it has just a bit more sauce. For those that enjoy Chinese food and are willing to travel to Padstow, House of Lee is the place.
I went for lunch and ordered the garlic prawns. They were awful and the worst I've ever had. The prawns tasted fishy and off, as if they were canned. I sent them back and ordered something else, but they tried to charge me for the bad prawns on my bill. When I questioned it, they said they only charged me for half of the prawns I had sent back. I paid for the rest of my meal but refused to pay for something that was bad and not fresh. The staff were not helpful and did not admit their food was not fresh. I was very disappointed and will not be returning to this restaurant.
