The Oar House Grill - Pacific City

Oar house is a mixed bar/restaurant. At our visit the service was great and the food was good.

Friendly staff, great service, outstanding tasting food, great menu. If I lived closer, I would eat there all the time.

First of all I want to say that the owner was amazing. She went out of her way for the group we were there with. That being said our experience beyond our group was terrible. The bartender was incredibly rude and curt, she seemed very irritated to be serving us. It was beyond the pale. Then the drinks we were poured were shockingly short. After two rounds we gave up. I'm sure if we were locals we would have been treated differently, but as a large, preplanned group it was borderline offensive.

A wonderful restaurant in Pacific City! Used to be called, The Tidewater. They have yummy French Dip sandwiches and french fries and Fish and Chips! Brought back memories as my husband and his band used to play live music there! Had a window table to watch the fisherman float on the Nestucca River. They have a lovely outdoor garden patio with tables to enjoy, too. Compliments to the chef and the lovely waitresses! Thank you for a lovely meal! Five Stars!

Very hit-and-miss, the recent hiring of an all 17-year-old staff has left a smack of ineptitude on the place, service is painfully slow even when there’s three servers on in an empty restaurant. When the right kitchen staff is in, the food can be impeccable, satisfying, and reasonably priced; otherwise it will come across as standard bar-fare.
