Breakfast on a slow easy Sunday morning under the catalpa trees. Windows large and inviting us to take in the world. Watching a barge gently flow through the water. A cardinal lands close by, sings a few lines then let 's the doves take the chorus. Kitchen staff sing along with Heart 's How Do I Get You Alone. Service is kind and humorous, 'sit anywhere. Well maybe not where some else is sitting, that may be awkward. ' Regulars chatting, softly no one is invasive. Wait staff are attentive, kindly remembering the locals favorites. A mockingbird stops by to gather stories. A patron leaves and the staff call, 'have a great day. ' The food was cooked perfectly, over medium eggs, crisp country bacon, potatoes and onions. The toast was still warm and had the perfect amount of fat, probably margarine. Coffee was the perfect temperature and not overly bitter. I could drink it black! I hope to come back. Lore: Catalpa has several medicinal uses. It can be made into a tea that is an antidote for snake bites and has also used for a laxative. Catalpa is also known to be a mild narcotic, which is used in curing the “whooping cough.
It's my favorite Japanese show in Owensboro,KY. It's not near my home, but I do cross the state line to get there, because I like it that much.

Our chef at the table was very friendly to our family; the food was great! The Hibachi tables are smaller and closer together than I would prefer, as a full table means a tight squeeze with little elbow room to eat your meal, and guests at neighboring tables were very loud. However, I am sure we will probably visit this location again since the staff and food are excellent
