The Scone Witch - Ottawa

I came to a late lunch at 12:45 and had a square balcony with truthahn and stylton and a side salad. the salate comes with a tangy dressing; the scone is a 4-sq.in baked slightly roasted. I sat and worked for the next 2 hours on my laptop, enjoyed coffee refills and went on my way a little less hungry and a little more caffeine.

The scone witch is not open daily (closed on Mondays and Tuesdays when I remember correctly), but we could go on Wednesday. I'm not sure if this place after closing for covid is simply reopened or what exactly the situation is, but they have a...limited menu (most of the menu cards seemed hidden). there were so many good looking things on web pages and reviews, but currently they can get coffee and have the choice of two breakfast options. my wife and I both tried one and not very well. we have been disappointed.

They think they're a scorpion, but they're gonna be brunch. the breakfast snack is best with mushrooms instead of ham.

We went to breakfast and everyone had another breakfast cook/sandwich. we went to our last day to breakfast and regretted not to return to our last breakfast in ottawa because it is so good!

It used to be my favorite place for scones, but sadly, the taste is not the same anymore it used to be not even closer to that. Very disappointed and sad at the same time.
