Greek Plus - Ottawa

THE BEST!. Greek Plus has been a favourite of mine since I was in high school at St. Matt's (just across the street). The food is always fresh. Delicious hummus, the absolute BEST garlic sauce in town and the chicken is never dry nor greasy. I can't speak for the beef personally but my brother and boyfriend both love it. I also think they have the best pickled turnip around... it's firm and crunchy with great flavour. I find the turnip at most other places to be too limp and watery and FAR too salty/briny (which overpowers the rest of the tastes). The potatoes, rice and salad are all yummy too. Portions are sizable (especially if you get a platter).<br/ <br/ The owner and staff are all extremely friendly. I can't say enough about how nice they are there each and every time. They will always have pleasant conversation while preparing your meal. <br/ <br/ You can buy a container of their second-to-none garlic sauce from the fridge to the right of the cash register, which also contains baklava, samosas, hummus and usually various other items. I've purchased the garlic sauce more than once and use it in cooking, on burgers/sandwiches or to dip raw veggies and french fries in. Again, it is SO good!<br/ <br/ There are 3 shawarma places closer to my house than Greek Plus but I will ALWAYS drive the 10-15 minutes to go here instead. I fully recommend Greek Plus to anyone looking for a delicious shawarma.

My favourite donair outside of the Maritimes. This place makes an awesome donair. Ask for the sweet sauce, get onions and tomatoes on top, and you're good to go. Extremely reasonable. The owner is always friendly. You can buy all sorts of extras from the refrigerated case for lunch tomorrow: baklava, samosas, garlic sauce...so good.

This place is great. Once a month the b/f and I get the gyros platter to go. One platter and we split it! And we both like to eat! You can ask for extra pickled stuff on your salad (mmmm) and the owners are so nice, so make sure you ask if you want something! A great local business to support.

We order from here regularly and we love it, Fresh ingredients, chicken is tender and flavorful, great tzatziki, and generous portions. We are always satisfied!

Great service, great food ! 100% recommend everyone try it out for themselves! Not to mention the garlic sauce is amazing!
