The weaving is a series of 3 different glasses with different taste. for someone who likes the sweet taste, I would recommend the German white wine, very nice! but each glass has a little wein in the inner, so the whole flying set is similar to a complete glass wein. the cheese board contains a crispy cheese with mango Chinese sausage, very tasty, and 2 species of salamis (3-5 slides for everyone,) 2 pieces pickles, few slides of ham and it costs $36. when they come on Monday, $20 mustels all they can. the waitress was friendly, bar has classic ambiente. jazz music is played only on Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesday by single guitarist, not by a band. the bar is quite small, there is no space for a band to play a great jazz.
Great experience at this first visit! our reason for going was the live jazz that was great, but we were also very impressed by eating and service! we sat immediately with our opentable reso and our server was welcoming and informatiw. the food we ordered was excellent. we were also very satisfied with the weeping flights we ordered and had an additional liter of our favourite dish from the tasting! would highly recommend this restaurant!
The experience was good, but we had a hard start when we arrived at the restaurant. we were reserved a table that was close to the entrance door, which is so tight and not the most cozy opposite in this small place. In view of the fact that we have reserved a day before us and when we were asked for a better table, we were told that there were many ppl that were reserved and it would be an hour waiting to get a better table. when we saw that we were not satisfied by their choice of table and additional waiting time, the kerl offered at the bar, sitting in the bar and waiting for a table to be available. we got one after a couple. while we were fed, after an hour we noticed that there were many available stands for guests and thought ourselves, where are the guests that this guy told us come? obviously they get a hospitable that they are not the most attractive table (and see if they would take it) so it is easier for them to sit other potential guests faster with the nicer tables / booths. it is like sale of were close to, first run out and sell the rest later. but by doing this, they are discriminatory guests. is it because of our ethnias or the way we look? what also draws us to this restaurant is their long list of wines/pears from their website, but when we have ordered our choice of beer, they said that they don't have it and the guy has even challenged us to show him that it is in their website and he apologizes when we showed it to him. he said that their website is not updated yet. it is therefore wrong marketing. imagine if we had gone all the way to ottawa from a 2-hour drive somewhere to try the beer that is not close to her bar. but because we had a nice time at the rest of the evening, we will still come back with hopes that we will not be treated as we were there this first time.
The wine, oysters, and company were all amazing at this place. I absolutely love it. They have a wide selection of wines at reasonable prices.
