I really hate leaving bad reviews, but my experience was truly horrendous. Our waitress did not have all her faculties and I honestly couldn’t tell if she was drunk, on substances, or truly missing a few marbles. She brought my friend the wrong drink, then brought us the wrong meals. Took forever to replace my friend’s meal, but never brought me the item I ordered. Then when it came to paying, she kept asking us what we wanted to pay for. We’d tell her what we actually ordered/consumed and she’d walk away for a good 10 to 15 minutes before coming back to ask us what it is that we had…again. She did this a total of five times before another waitress finally begrudgingly came over to cash us out. The other waitress was also unnecessarily rude to us for just wanting to pay. If this had been a good meal, I could have forgiven the bad service…but the food was just gross. Like other reviewers have stated, the vegetables were from the freezer aisle of a grocery store — unseasoned. The meat was dry and tough. The only good thing on my plate were the boiled potatoes (but it’s hard to mess up potatoes). I don’t know who these people paid to rank so high for “good” and “authentic” Norwegian food, but visitors beware. This is not it.

We wanted to try out real Norwegian food, and by the reviews here, we thought we would give it a try. The restaurant has two floors, you can get to the second one via the stairs on the left of the entrance. First we were seated at the first floor. It was more like a pub, very dark inside and not a great atmosphere. Upstairs was better! A little outdated but seemed traditional. The food was okay. We had reindeer meatcake and steak of minced meat, which was nice. Too bad the vegetables were from the freezer... Price was okay.

Extremely surprised.... Traditional Norwegian food!!!! Delicious Inexpensive (which is unheard of in Oslo) Did I say delicious.. yes! Oh and restaurant...

Not a dive bar, more like a restaurant on the 2nd floor of a building. Clean bathrooms. Centrally located (10 min walk from opera house central train...

Very nice restaurant offering Norwegian food. The reindeerminced meat cake was quite good. Clean set up and friendly staff. Would recommend this place to someone looking for some authentic Norwegian food at a modest price.
