Maple Pub - Oshkosh

Thursday evening about 7PM, 3 others at the bar left shortly after we arrived. Nice place, very modern. Bar service was prompt, all staff were friendly. I ordered the special burger of the day and was very disappointed. Burger and fries were room temperature. Burger was tasty but I couldn 't eat the cold fries. Everyone else also ordered burgers and they (and the fries) were barely warm. Maybe because it was a slow night and everything was made in advance and kept warm? I don 't plan to return.

The food we did get was good. We ordered salmon over a bed of rice which was missing the rice. My husband had had French fries and I ordered the garlic mash potato. My potato was a little red possibly baked in the microwave and mashed in a little cup with butter. Yes they forgot to add the garlic. So either the cook was new or not paying attention. Either way that was our 1st impression of the place. Felt like the workers were a little disorganized and it was even busy.

We sat for almost 30 minutes after we ordered with only 4 others in the restaurant and never got our food. Meatloaf and a salad, no way. We left and they comped our drinks. Will not be back.

The staff here was great, I came to lunch for Oshkosh Restaurant Week and was treated very well. The portion sizes were great and all three courses of my meal were pleasant. I couldn't recommend it anymore.

We're here for the first time for Saturday brunch. It was delicious, the food was the perfect temperature. Many decisions. The waiting staff was spectacular, just in it with drinks everyone was very friendly. We're coming back!
