Aurora - Old Tappan

After I heard mixed reports about this Mediterranean gastro facility, I finally pulled the trigger and went last night. I can honestly only give this place high marks over everything. the service was spectacular and very helpful, eating was excellent and perfectly cooked. in portions was perfect and wonderfully spiced. we had date night, my wife and I and we can't wait to go back. cannot comment on the drinks, as none of us drink the adult drinks. the place is larger than it seems, with several private spaces for smaller parties under 30 or so patrons. it is not a cheap datum place, but then as they say, “Good food is not cheap and cheap eating is not good”. we started with a Greek salate, which was more like a brain salad with fresh feta cheese and zucchini and aubergine chips with tiziki sauce (advancement about the spelling, but by far one of the best I ever had). as our companions she had miso salmon with a side of mushrooms, nutritious and red cabbage. (fish was perfectly flavored and moist). I had the seafood pasta and it was devine! I'm sorry for no photos, but we don't make pictures of what we eat, we eat it and go on with our lives. this can be our new “go to” for Mediterranean cuisine before location.

I wasn't impressed and had high hopes since they own other Bergen County restaurants. The service was okay and the food mediocre. I was just underwhelmed. My husband ordered the short ribs and it had no taste whatsoever. My fish was okay, but bland as well. The kids ordered penne vodka and it was one of the worst I've ever had. I think since this place is new they have some kinks to work out. Maybe it will gwt better.

I love this new place in old tappan New Jeresey. Great staff, amazing food, and beautiful restaurant. It’s a go to place. This is my family’s new favorite spot. Love it!!!! They’re appetizers are delicious, it’s hard to decide on what to order. Everything is soooo good. We had salmon and chicken kebab made to perfection. We finished our great dinner with their great baklava and cappuccino.

Was good! Nothing over the top. My only complaint is that they have so much room but crammed tables all into one room… you can bump elbows with the people next to you.

Last week we had the best time at dinner that i think I’ve ever had! The food was delicious and our server Era was adorable and full of personality plus. She was attentive, entertaining and knowledgeable. She is a huge asset to your restoraunt and we will definitely be back soon!!
