Old Lyme Inn

The sidedoor jazz club was a great experience after our delicious dinner. all together the old lyme in is a great place to eat and then see a show.

We had a nice afternoon. it was a cool day, so a fire in the fireplace would have been nice. the tee was nice, but the scorpses were a bit dry. there was a nice selection of teesandwiches and the truffles were delicious. we also love the hodge podge from China pieces. we will return for other seasonal tees.

As always, our experience in old lyme inn was excellent. we have brunettes, lunches, and yesterday we enjoyed tee. because our please for eating free could not be fulfilled (not enough personal, we have learned) we sat, from us, in the library. the friend who was with us has not thrived in the interiors since the beginning of the covid, but without others sitting in the room, even they. my man and I appreciate the thoughtfulness behind this gesture. our server was very pleasant and patient (our friend can be very difficult to please) which was also appreciated. oh yes, and the afternoon tea was beautifully presented and delicious. old lyme inn never disappointed.

The setting is great--absolutely charming. The service is fine, but the food is mediocre. My glass of prosecco was flat. The garden salad was drenched in some kind of sickly sweet dressing. The pistachio-crusted cod was dried out. The best thing of the prix fixe was the desserts: the pumpkin cheesecake and the creme brulee were great. Pricey considering the quality.
