Happy Valley Restaurant - Okotoks

We wanted to grab a bite to eat on our way home from Calgary with our family. Saw this place in Okotoks advertising supper buffet with over 60 items. Seemed like a good fit so we stopped in. There were probably 60 items, but 40 of them were tiny dessert pieces of which there were only 1 or 2 of each. The 15-20 hot items were mostly deep fried and also of very limited quantities. While the food tasted ok, it was disappointing. I was expecting a hot buffet with 60+ items. The service also was very slow. The dirty plates were picked up only once during the hour we were there. (there were a few pick up orders that went out and a table of 1 and a table of 12 along with our table of 6-definitely not busy!!) Over all I thought it expensive for a few deep fried dishes... Won't be going back...

They advertise 60 items. I counted about 12. Horrible food. Items where cold. Deserts stale and all sugar. Bad experience. Don't waste your hard earned money. Only nice to us when it was time to pay.

We arrived for buffet. All that was out was a few shrivelled vegetables. They said they would bring food out. Well we waited. All they brought out was wonton soup. Very very very disappointed. They didn't care. We requested politely numerous times. And they never bothered bringing out any food other than wonton soup. 1 star is really being generous. Total rip off

I seldom visit any restaurant that leaves me feeling so unsatisfied. This place is exceptionally bad. I should have guessed when there were perhaps 100 covers available and only two tables occupied. Food was atrocious and service not much better. Sauces come in plastic pouches....which sums this place up. I left behind a lot of inedible food and declined to have anything packed up. Very very disappointing in every way.

Have decent smorgasbord. Always replenishing dishes. Salt and pepper squid was very good Good service.
