We found seats for ourselves at a booth in the middle of the dining room floor but decided after waiting there for a couple minutes that we wanted to be closer to the action. We moved to the bar that gives you a direct line of sight to the stainless steel grill. We also had a better view of the bumper stickers that almost cover the vent hood. We are both onion burger fans, so that is what we ordered. I got a double onion burger with lettuce, tomato, and pickles. I added ketchup and mustard after it was served. It was hard to hold when it came out to me because it was so hot. That is a positive feature in my judgment. I also liked the fact that they did not skimp on the tomatoes or the pickles. However, if you don't like many pickles, make sure you ask for just one or two. The bun and burger patties were the same circumference; I don't like it when one is larger than the other. There was not an intense onion flavor while I was eating the burger, but a pleasant onion-beef aftertaste lingered in my mouth all afternoon. The bun almost disintegrated from all of the burger, tomato, lettuce, and pickle juices before I finished eating the burger. Be aware if you're like me and can't stand having your hands sticky from all of those juices. There was nothing remarkable about the bun. It was a standard food service grade burger bun. Overall, the onion burgers here are comparable to what I had at Sid's in El Reno. They're not as good as Tucker's Onion Burger or Nic's Grill, but they're definitely worth a return trip. Service was friendly and speedy.

Nothing like eating a burger that is the same consistency as an egg sandwich not to mention I ordered a basket of fries with my Togo order and received the same amount of fries that came with another customers kids meal I sat there the whole time they prepared my order and the same person handling the produce and raw meat then was all up in the register and then back on the floor serving food and then back touching/preparing food no hand washing no gloves the whole time I was there
11, on a scale of 1-10. Tried for the first time the other evening to use a coupon we got in the mail. The burger was so good this will be my new go-to place. I got the double cheeseburger and my wife got the single. Based on a couple reviews here, we ordered the mustard slaw which was a very good addition. We split an order of fries, which were thick-cut and could have been cooked just a bit longer...so I'll be sure to ask for well-done fries next time. Our total bill with a coupon was only $12 which I thought was very reasonable. I am a self-professed burger connoisseur and rank this burger as my new #1 over S&B's on nw 59th (tough call..maybe a tie), Plantation Inn (Medicine Park...close call), Flat tire, Little Mike's, McNellie's, Pop's, Freddie's, Irma's, Earl's, Ron's Burger Grill, Johnnie's, Tucker's, and Meer's (Medicine Park). I have no connection to HD's and in the spirit of fairness I'd like to address some of the negatives posted by people apparently walking around with a big chip on their shoulder: 1. Service- it was basic and sufficient. This is a simple burger joint with an amazing burger, that's all you need. 2. Waitress lady- we were nice to her and she was nice back. Not talkative but so what, we came for a burger. 3. Prices- our total bill was $12...without coupon would have been around $14. That's pretty cheap. 4. Charge for water- they do not...we got 2 big waters free. 5. Fries- definitely not microwaved...they were so hot from the fryer we had to wait a minute. 6. Greasy- friends, that's "juicy" when it relates to a burger...the fries were like Johnnie's- a tad greasy...so what 7. Bottom line- the name is "HD's Onion Burger" and they do that exceptionally well, better than most.
