The Rootbeer Stand - Oglesby

I am leaving a fantastic review of this location we had the fries a cheeseburger and the bbq with the salad. While the salad was literally shredded lettuce in a cup with dressing it was a nice touch for the meal The root beer float was sensational and as they have root beer in their name it lived up to its name and exceeded expectations. We ate st the curb and it was nostalgic like the old AW root beer stands though there were no roller skating. I will definitely return and be intrigued by the great review I’m leaving here. If you know me and we have ever shared a meal, then you need no explanation of my review, now go see for yourself!

Love the nostalgic atmosphere of the past. The new owners are amazing keeping up with the traditions and service of the past owners.

It's classic rootbeer stand food. Simple and cheap. But when it comes to summer nights it doesn't get much better than the small places like this. We will be back ?

It's all about the atmosphere. Definitely a fun experience. Service was fast and friendly! Best rootbeer I've ever had.

If you are in the area, this is definitely worth the stop. Homemade root beer is terrific. Quick service food was fresh to order and very good (think typical casual fare- sandwiches, soup, fried apps). The care behind the business is obvious. Employees were very friendly, and despite being very busy at lunchtime, the wait was quick. Don’t forget to get ice cream! They have a variety of options- floats, sundaes and cones. Fun and family friendly!
