The Barn Door - Odessa

I'm trying to visit this place when I make the trip to Odessa. The waiting staff is always friendly. The drinks are always refilled immediately. The food is always delicious. The atmosphere is strange. Apart from ghost stories, this place has a really strange ambience. Especially in the depot. It's like there are more people present than you can actually account. It's just weird.

NOT OR DELIVERY!! I've been in the barn door for a long time, as long as I remember and never had a problem. Because of my husband's health, this time we decided to deliver and were absolutely shocked by the lack of quality in food. We spent well over $100 on steak that didn't fit to eat. My medium-sized rare steak was not near 9oz and so hard, thin and overcooked that I tried to eat it and gave the rest to my dog. His chicken fried steak was a chicken stable and was cold and dry. The beef tips we ordered for his mother were so overcooked and dry that she could not eat after a few bites. I would expect this from the fast food facility so it surprises me if it was because we were not able to get so bad quality. You cannot return any delivery. Too much money wasted.

Delicious food, great service, fun atmosphere! The staff was friendly and welcoming. Prime Rib was so tender that I could cure it with my fork, baked potatoes were hot, fresh and spicy. Bar drinks were perfect, not too weak or diluted. Come on!

Very Hometown atmosphere felt like everyone knew everyone was coming.. For my fist it was an OK eating experience. My steak was a little charred, our appetizer was cold and service was ok... definitely giving a second try sometime

Love the atmosphere here, everyone is so helpful, friendly and not to mention the food is amazing! The block of cheese with fresh baked, slightly sweet rolls butter? Great history, photos and sometimes Billy makes an appearance, see of you can spot him in any of these?
