The only downside was that some of the shell strips were not fully cooked and had raw dough, and the macaroni and cheese lacked flavor. However, the redeeming factor was the delicious shrimp dip appetizer.
You need to visit a Goos stack in Ocracoke. Local food is good, but you need to be prepared for a wait, especially if you have a party. This is the first food stop after the Ocracoke ferry, so it will always be packed during the ferry.
The service was excellent during our lunch at the restaurant. I thoroughly enjoyed my fried clam strips, they were delicious. The prices were reasonable and in line with what I would expect in a remote tourist town.
Without question this is a must stop if you find your self staying at Ocracoke Island. Not only the food but the overall experience was amazing. I wish I took more pictures. The customer care, attention to keeping our tables clear and beverages coming, server was on point. The Raw Oysters did not disappoint in your a fan. The tuna, the fish of the day, were so delicious and perfectly cooked, I'm ready to go back. You owe to your self to check this place if you visit the island.
I?m here slightly off-season and this place is packed with room to spare. I got the grilled offshore fresh fish of the day which was mahi mahi. The shrimp roll appetizer and it came out really fast considering the number of people. Great service by Peter.
