You can sit inside or outside and play the 18 hole putting challenge right there. I think the nation as a whole is experiencing staffing challenges so if you can be patient with them I think you will enjoy the food and surroundings. We miss the Thursday night live music that they had in the summer last year. I would reinstate that for a great Thursday experience and value (and then promote that).
Perfect service from our bartender server Madison in a lovely casual setting overlooking the gorgeous historic golf course. We loved the outdoor seating. Great drinks, fried pickle app, summer berry salads and the cauliflower crust pizza was awesome! Nothing but applause for the wonderful food and service and setting. Great job! We can't wait to return.
We enjoy the food and atmosphere! The putting course while you wait for your food is also fun. I have enjoyed several entrees and have yet to be disappointed. Outdoor seating is pleasant and the inside is very comfortable. Friendly staff as well!
My wife and I have tried to enjoy a meal and drinks at Rivalry Pub 4 times now and have only been able to enjoy the pub once. The restaurant appears to be struggling to find its groove this year. The last 2 attempts to dine and drink here resulted in an ice cold fish fry that took an hour to get (seems it sat in the kitchen for some time before being brought out as the fries were soggy and cold and the fish that was over fried was mushy and cold as well. Wanting to give the pub another try, because its walking distance from our house and we want to recommend it to friends, we decided to go and enjoy a beer and lunch on a nice sunny day after golfing; 30 minutes into waiting on the hot and sunny patio for menus (they only had 3-5 menus available apparently), I walked up to the bar to ask for waters while we waited and to see how the progress on getting menus was going. The manager proceeded to roll his eyes and sharply inform me he 'll get them for me when he can. What was frustrating about this interaction after waiting 30 minutes already for no service was that there were 4 members of a wedding party at the bar drinking, a family of 7 already eating and 1 other group of two in the entire restaurant with 2 waitresses, a bar tender and a manager working. The other group of 2 was also waiting on menus, had no drinks and was there longer than we were. My wife and I gave them a little more time because the weather was nice but ultimately decided to leave after 45 minutes of waiting total an no water, no menu and no follow up from the waitress or manager. The location is great and the course is awesome, but the service and food quality has disappointed 3 of the 4 times we 've tried Rivalry Pub. Maybe I 'll give the place a couple of years to turn itself into a place worth going, but I won 't be taking friends and family here after golf when they visit anytime soon. UPDATE: The menu from the new chef is much improved! Wait times have been standard or quicker than average
