Pretty cool place. Went there and had one beer. .. They have a cool pay it forward board where you can buy people drinks or if you match something on the board you can get a drink. They have a few games to play while you sit and drink. Staff was friendlyand drinks were good.

Our family of 5 tried this place on our way home to Atlanta, GA at great time in the afternoon during the week. I had the raspberry sour and my husband had the tropical IPA and Loggerhead lager. I really like the sour and found it to be similar toOrpheus brewing companies sour. (That?s a complement! Our kids likes the Hibiscus sweet tea lemonade. Bummed I didn?t buy aT-Shirt.

Ocean Isle's only brewery! Makai Brewing Company has 15-20 beers on tap and ample space in the tap room to sit down and enjoy. They're right next door to the Italian butcher and deli, so if you're hungry, go grab something. Kid friendly, dog friendly.Beer is very good! Come in, enjoy a pint or bring some to your rental.

Very cool on site brewery.great local atmosphere even though it's in North Carolina and my wife and I came from myrtle beach for a nice ride and great beer along with a great lunch from the attached deli butcher shop next door which I assume the breweryowns them too cuz anyone is allowed to get a sandwich from there and eat it in the bar.will return again.check this placeout.not far over the border for the people in South carolina.
