What a hidden gem of a Japanese family restaurant! The soft shell crab miso soup is a dish worth traveling for. The perfectly sautéed plump soft shell crab floating in the incredibly delicious soup could stand alone as a meal in itself. It was probably the best soft shell crab I have ever tasted, and surprisingly served in a wonderfully light miso soup! The next course was beautifully presented as an art piece, featuring more soft shell crab in a basket (how could we resist after the soup?), avocado, fresh salmon with a spicy tuna topping, ponzu sauce, and cilantro. It was absolutely amazing! Along with this dish, we also had a crispy and nutty triangle that was generously portioned. We then moved on to the yellow-orange plate, which was a delightful mix of flavors including mango, avocado, shrimp tempura, orange tobiko, T sauce, and mango sauce. It was difficult to choose just one thing to return to in this epicurean restaurant that is clearly dedicated to serving the best quality food to families. The father, who is also the cook, takes great pride in grilling various meats ranging from ribeye to filet mignon, strip steak, T-bone, and ahi tuna. The menu also includes a variety of sushi and desserts. It is a must-try dining experience that will leave you eager to return. This family-run restaurant truly deserves to be recommended.
