Food was amazing and good priced with huge amount. Drinks fare priced too. Great place to have a meal or drinks, and 100 times better than resorts restaurants and only 5min drive Service: Dine in
Perfect for a change of scenery! Really nice pub. Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Update, visited again in October 2023. The food is not as good as it was, the pizza is now on pre bought bases with a very thick layer of cheese. It was okay but not like it used to be. Prices now about £14-16 per pizza. Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
Wierd ole place! Beautifully situated in a lovely valley next to a river outside Alton Towers. So you order food in one building, drink in another, collect your food, and eat it out of a cardboard box with your drink. Prices are far too high and the quality is far too low. I had the pie of the day, which was served with a pot of gloomy gravey and a tub of mushy peas. The pie was overcooked and powdery. My partner ordered a pizza which was simmerlar to the ones you get from Iceland. Overall the food was extremely overpriced and the food was very bad. Avoid! The drinks and service of the bar were nice and friendly, relaxed, and not overpriced. Cosy pub feeling with a nice atmosphere. Personally, I wouldn't come back. It's just not worth it.
Beer garden and outdoor seating is good although tables were not clean. The service is very poor and bar staff are quite rude. High priced food and drink for such junk i.e. £17.95 for a burger served from a hatch with no table service or plates. Disgusting toilets with floors covered in pungent urine; didn't want to step into my car afterwards! Price per person: £10–20
