Mulata Kitchen Coffee - Oak Park

Mulata is an absolute gem in the Chicago area and an Oak Park treasure! I can't help but give them 5 stars because they truly deserve it. The chicken empanadas here are simply incredible – so moist and bursting with flavor. As a Brazilian expat, the taste instantly takes me back to the flavors of my homeland. But it doesn't stop at empanadas. The Bobo, PF, and Feijoada are all delicious, and I can honestly say that I've never had a meal here that wasn't amazing. The food is a delightful journey through Brazilian cuisine, and it's evident that the chefs put heart and soul into each dish. And let's not forget the treats! They are to die for! Every visit is a delightful experience for the taste buds and Mulata is a must-visit for anyone seeking a genuine taste of Brazil right here in Chicago. Thank you, Cristiane for bringing a slice of our homeland to the Windy City. I can't recommend this place enough. Obrigado! The secret is out on this place. Originally when we would come here, it would only be us and a few others but now this place packs out! No surprises. Like someone else said: they have a bunch of kids running the place. They ran out of chicken but nobody told us, until we asked 30 minutes later where was our food. Aside from that, the food is really good. Food: 4 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2

Nice coffee and snack place in Oak park. It is at the corner of Oak park avenue and lake Street. Lots of coffee options, regular ones and some unique ones for this place. They do have a few snack options. Nice place to hang out with friends or family. There is a place to sit outside on the street but it is a little noisy and people walking right next to you. Hard to find parking around here as there are limited street parking spots. Service: Dine in
