Herring Choker Deli - Nyanza

This is a great little rest stop. They serve a good range of sandwiches and wraps with fair trade coffee. The locally made cakes are also fantastic.

Great atmosphere, great food. However miss Albert and Dan. There was nothing like going in, grabbing an over priced bag of yoghurt covered raisins, then watching Albert build a deli sliced sandwich the size of North Dakota and handing it to me with that generous...smile on his face. I often get the breakfast sandwich on multigrain with the works and I feel so satisfied from the pleasent message hand written on the wraper by the sandwich maker to the full satisfation of a very well crafted sandwich which I savor as I continue...on my jurneys, the staff is dedicated and friendly to deal with and then there are the sweets which are super tasty and rich. I have never been disappointed!

On our way from Baddeck to Iona on a rainy day we stopped here for a late lunch. As we just wanted to ease our hunger without eating too much and ruining dinner we ordered "half sandwiches" to go. They were made fresh while we...waited and the fillings were plentiful and the bread soft and tasty. Prices very reasonable.
