Best Indian food in Tampa! I love the butter chicken and garlic naan. Also, you must try the mango lassi. It’s delicious. My family is obsessed with this place.
Best Indian food in Tampa! The butter chicken is more authentic than Curry Leaves and the Naan taste better as well. And most importantly, it’s more affordable!
A small place in downtown Tampa that gave a necessary relief for foodies like me away from home, missing Indian spicy/hot food. We had a night stay at Marriott and looking for Indian food in the area and stumbled upon Raaga. We ordered Paneer Tikka masala in mild and spicy versions. In addition we had Dal tadka, Chana-palak masala, Bhindi masala and Egg Biryani. The flat bread were onion kulcha, garlic naan and plain naan. The bread quality was below average, needs improvement. The main course dishes were flavorful and offered ample portion size. Each entrée comes with rice so good for 2 meals! I had interaction with the Chef Mr. Sai and offered other services as well like catering. I would recommend this place.
I’m a big fan of chicken lollipops and I’m so glad there’s finally a place downtown that makes them. Only a few Indian restaurants in Tampa actually offer chicken lollipops (I was told it’s a North Indian thing so South Indian restaurants won’t) and only ONE other place that actually makes them good. The other ones are way too deep fried. They ask you if you want them wet or dry with sauce on ths side. I suggest you get them dry where you can just dip them in the sauce as you want. Same with wings, when you go wet, it’s so messy and you’ll have sauce all over the place.Since they started offering this the past week I’ve had these for diner for 4 days straight.Note: don’t get this current Indian restaurant confused with the previous one. The old was wasn’t that good and the hours were all over the place. The new owner is an actual chef from India and just took over a week ago. Since he did, I have noticed major changes, to food and store.
