We love eating here when visiting Northumberland. Simple but delicious food , lovely ice creams served by very friendly helpful people.

Something you don 't get at home.....The latest foodie sensation to hit Alnmouth last year was this street food cafe. It is a tiny seafood 'shack ' style cafe and take-away. It is run by the people from Beaches Restaurant next door so you know that the ingredients are the freshest. It is very casual. The food comes in a cardboard box with wooden forks. Note that this is not the same place as Beaches (which has tablecloths and candles) and it is only open a few daytimes a week in summer, so check the Website. You can sit inside or on the pavement tables or get a takeway to go down the beach.The menu changes daily but you could get crab sandwiches, crab bisque or even a homemade burger. Top quality soft drinks or BYO alcohol (try the Alnmouth Grocer across the road).We ordered Lobster Thermidor and took a chilled bottle of Cloudy Bay Sauvignon Blanc. A splendid way to spend a Sunday afternoon!

Delicious sea bass and chips and shin beef and dumplings on Friday night enjoyed sitting on a bench overlooking the sea, by the moonlight ????

I've not visited for awhile so today while out walking to Alnmouth I called in for lunch. Absolutely amazing the lobster and fries are just delicious. Great friendly service and very reasonably priced.

Loved it. Always a great part of our holidays in Northumberland (at least when they´re not closed like last January...
