Fratelli - Northumberland

Food was nice. Service was lousy. Waiting staff appeared at the table on a random basis, and had to be summoned in order to receive any attention. Parking fine of £40 received, the private car parking arrangement adjacent to the restaurant was not mentioned by any of the staff although I have been told subsequently that there is an A4 sheet printed out on the wall explaining it. The restaurant did not respond to my request to help resolve the parking fine. We won't be going again.

While visiting Ponteland and in need of a place to eat, I read the reviews and decided to give it a try. I was definitely not disappointed. The surroundings were lovely, the staff were extremely pleasant and knowledgeable, and the food was excellent with generously sized portions. It was a pleasure to watch the chefs at work while we were eating.

A very nice restaurant in the heart of Ponteland, above Sainsburys supermarket. A first plus point is loads of free, safe parking for your vehicle. This is a large spacious restaurant, offering a good cross section of Italian dining, served to you by predominantly Italian staff. This was our first visit to Fratelli's, after visiting the new YOLO bar pretty much straight across the road. Both venues were very nice, and we will certainly be visiting again soon.

We came to this restaurant for the first stage of our belated Christmas party for work. I had been here several times before and knew how outstanding the restaurant was. Out of our group I was the only one who had been before and during the night people were saying how nice the place is and how great the food was when we got it. Overall we had a great night with great food and the staff were friendly and funny. It's always makes a meal that little bit better when the staff are as friendly as they are here!

Really great service so quick and attentive food wonderful as always staff so helpful and friendly will definitely book this way again
