Popped in while waiting for a bus at adjacent bus station. Ordered 2 teas, a cheese scone and a toasted teacake. All delivered quickly and politely. Request for an little more butter turned down as it is 'rationed '. Not asked whether wanted cheese scone warming. Teacake on the thin side but a nice flavour. A bit pricey. Got the impression that everything was being done to minimise customer satisfaction, in order to improve profit.
The price of the items at this restaurant is quite high considering the portion sizes. For example, a classic salad is composed of a small amount of couscous, a small portion of salad, and a spoonful of coleslaw for almost £9.00. The value for money is not good.
I was asked by the staff who served me, but I chose not to identify them as I believe in fairness. After some polite insistence from my mum, they eventually topped up the coffee. The food itself was average, nothing particularly special. We had to ask for salt, pepper, and even ketchup. There were little things that could be improved to make the overall experience better.
Never been to a cafe in my life where they don't want to part with their sugar. It's brought to the table and you can't take what you want. Asked how many and that's it. Honestly it's so begrudgingly given. Apart from that the foods not that great and the prices are high. Been once or twice and never improves. Never going in again.
