If you like 'proper ' ice cream, scraped up out of a churn then you will love this place. Don 't ask for 'vanilla ' though because their 's is 'original ' and the taste is sublime. The chat from the servers comes free! They do more flavours now than I have seen before. It is still the original (in a sugar cone with a chocolate flake) for me but a friend had the mango flavour and said that it, too, was excellent and it really tasted of mango. It seems a bit of a way out, so just go there and make a trip to Seaton Delavel Hall as well for a great day out.
I enjoyed a Banana and Vanilla Sugar cone Ice Cream with my mother after driving down to the coast. The servers were very polite and wore masks. The restaurant had social distancing stickers on the floor to ensure customers were safely spaced apart. The ice creams were delicious, especially the Banana flavor. I would recommend trying the Banana Ice Cream if you visit this place.
Out for a bike ride noticed the cafe was open for take aways, looked like it was serving meals to locals but also had ice cream bagged up for people to collect too. As I approached the left door, there was a table in front where you placed your money the change was placed then I moved to the right door to collect the ice cream, pavement marked outside too, would definitely return when next in the area, felt very safe!
We recently moved to the neighborhood and decided to try Arrhigii’s based on its highly recommended ice cream. On each visit, I have brought along my well-behaved little dog, Archie, a miniature Australian Labradoodle. While they do allow dogs, I have found the staff to be unfriendly and unwelcoming. I have left feeling like I was merely tolerated as a customer, rather than valued and encouraged to return. The ice cream is tasty, but I couldn't help but feel like they skimped on portions. This lack of generosity extends to both the staff and the servings. The cakes are decent, though I had a dry Sachertorte and a delicious but small portioned Dundee cake. Despite the long lines, it seems that the establishment is content with their current practices and doesn't see the need for change. With a monopoly in the village, they may not feel the pressure to improve, which is unfortunate as a warmer, more welcoming attitude and generous portion sizes could make them exceptional.
I spent my teenage years at this restaurant, sipping on soda and enjoying the jukebox tunes. It was nice to return, especially for a delicious lunch. My wife ordered a crepe with bacon and maple syrup, and the bacon was lean and cooked perfectly. I decided to go with the pasta bolognese again, and it was just as good as I remembered. Their Italian dishes were a hit, and I couldn't resist getting a tub of ice cream with a flake before leaving.
