Young Love is so beautiful inside, loved all the greenery and dark walls. Service is very efficient and friendly and we really enjoyed our cocktails. Food was a bit of a let down, the pork mac and cheese was watery and bland, and the gyoza were a bit undercooked. Loved the corn jacks, wings and salad. A welcome addition to Northbridge!
Today after a meeting I walked past, immediately the name of this restaurant captured my attention, young love I had a parking ticket purchased until 9.15pm, ran errands from 3:45pm... all afternoon I was pondering and couldn 't resist .. I picked up my husband and landed back at young love by 7:45pm, we were served up numerous dishes walked out the door by 8:45pm. Young love has been our best eating experience in the whole of Perth! We were so impressed from our yummy cocktails to our seafood dishes, Korean salad with a twist ! Yummmm!!! Every dish served was like Picasso was hanging out in the kitchen!!!! Happy staff ! Fantastic food, quick service we are coming back for the...read more
Ambience is good, but I did witness an issue with having the windows open on to William Street a passerby yelling something at patrons. I can see there being issues with having people seated there. The greenery of plants cascading from their pots above head height is a brilliant move. The wait staff weren't too pushy or gregarious which is a pleasant change. Wine list is quite limited two sparkling, four whites and four reds. They do serve by the glass. They also have draught beer and a small selection of bottled beers too. The food is lovely. We had the Japanese Succotash for $17, which consisted of cubed, roasted eggplant as well as peas and pickled ginger with a pea and wasabi...read more
Right at the bottom of William Street near the horse shoe bridge is this new place. Walking in you feel like you are in Aladdin’s secret garden; very stylish and something different for Perth. I had the pick of tables and my friendly waitress brought me tap water and the menu. Now the menu is short, but judging by the reviews and what I tried, all dishes that come out are excellent. In my books it’s better to have a dishes that are all stars than many dishes that are mediocre. I think there is something for everyone here though. It is a shared menu, so I went with two dishes; crispy skinned pork belly and roasted carrots. I had a nice crispy white wine to match, which was excellent....read more
