If you visit this restaurant on the weekend, be prepared to wait at the door. If you come with a party of two, the wait time may be shorter. The portions of food here are larger compared to other dim sum restaurants, and though the taste is good, it is not outstanding. The service mainly consists of bringing the food to your table, as it can be difficult to find a staff member available to assist you. Most of the staff speak Cantonese, not Mandarin. The restaurant is quite noisy, with people talking and children crying. While it may not be the owner's fault, it can be challenging to have a conversation with friends at the small tables. This restaurant is kid-friendly, as many children come here and are allowed to cry and yell without issue.
This restaurant has a great and nostalgic vibe. It is popular among local residents, especially during the opening hours. They offer a generous 80% discount for morning orders when paying in cash.
Food was generally good. The ha gow fun Guo were a bit thick wrapping wise but the filling was tasty. The BBQ pork puff pastry and Fung jiao were both quite good. It got busy at the end, but the service was cheerful and fairly fast.I like the slightly fancier looking ambience, reminiscent of Casa-Imperial. Washrooms were nice and clean. Surprisingly affordable as well. Would go back!
Nice seating ambient. Dim sum is pretty good, but very expensive. Tea is also very nice.Playing on the speakers is 忘記他 by Teresa Teng, on infinite loop back. Now, this is a very nice song tune, but if it's constantly playing, it gets very annoying. 4 stars because of the constant piano tune, otherwise it would be 5 stars.
