Sushiya - North Liberty

Very good choice for a stay in Northern freedom for one night. Michelle was a big server, very friendly and attentive. We ordered tea and egg rolls to start, then 4 reels: Yam tempura, honey roll, spider and smoked salmon. All were excellent. My husband did not realize that the spider roll had a whole crab (we had only Sushi 3 or 4 other times in our life), so that he had a little of the legs and the cripple of the crab body Lol, but he ate 4 of the 6 reels and simply took the crab out of the last 2! I liked the honey roll best delicious! Nice presentation too! We were very happy with our choice to eat here - we went at 5 pm when they opened and when we left the restaurant was full! Always a great sign. We also thank the men who worked on the Sushi counter who earned us a surprising look and thanks. Most people don't believe in thanking the chef I think is a nice gesture. Remember to complete your servers! We also tip generously to thank people this day and age who actually want to work. Thanks Sushiya!

There's a family dinner here. You can watch sushi preparation, the fun for the children. Everything we ordered was delicious. We've scanned several reels and appetizers. The chicken on the appetizer was a big hit with my family and we plan to double the order at the next visit.

Have a to-go order, was extremely impressed by the sushi! However, teriyaki entree was extremely missing. $15 for a chicken, rice tiny part of the vegetables, which I think was the highlight of the dish. The teriyaki sauce itself was not expected at all and had a strange taste. I'd definitely get the food back. Also the spicy Mayo is VERY wicy overall good experience!

Nice little place. Friendly staff and delicious food. If the place is full, the service is a little slow. They have a nice seating area outside the river. I wouldn't recommend for big groups over 6 unless you don't think about the confined room or sitting outside. The edamame was simple and cold, not hot as I prefer, but nothing that bothered me. Loved the Taiwanese Crispy Chicken: crispy, share a good part, and the veggies tasted great with this appetizer. Shushi roles we tried and enjoyed: Shrimp Tempura, Dragon and New York.

We love the food! I go maybe twice a month! Is one of my son favorite! Pretty quick on service, great customer service great ambient too! I get take out most of the time.
