Freight Yard Pub - North Adams

Made reservations beforehand to come in and check this place out after hiking up Mount Greylock. It was a party of 2 and we ordered drinks, some appetizers, food and dessert. The place was a bit busy, but it was a Friday night. The waitress was somewhat inattentive and did not introduce themselves when they came and took our order. The drinks were good and the food arrived fast. The peanut butter and banana burger was fantastic, but the wings were underwhelming. Overall, the place was good and have good COVID restrictions in place. Would possibly try it again if in the area.

We’ve dined here many times over the years whenever we are in town. While it’s always been solid, in the past couple of years they have really elevated their food quality, variety, and service. For the area, the prices may seem slightly high at first glance, but the portions are huge, and the food is high quality that is perfectly cooked. Even the veggies, which many places overcook, are cooked perfectly- crisp, yet tender. We had a party of 8 on this and on our last visit to town in November. On both occasions the food was served promptly and everyone’s meal arrived piping hot. I’d strongly recommend this location for a visit any time you find yourself in The North Adams area. The only thing to keep in mind is that there is limited seating when the weather doesn’t allow patio seating. If u plan to dine there it would be wise to make a recommendation to ensure u have a seat.

Good food, tables well-spaced with plexiglass partitions between them. Good service. Nice place.
