The interior decor is definately a vast improvement from the outside. The saying 'don't judge a book by its cover' comes to mind. We didn't eat so I can't comment on that but the menu looked interesting. Varying amounts on the drinks menu but we stuck to pilsner. Well kept and went down like a treat. Views over the river.

Myself and a group of friends were in Dusseldorf and dropped by Marcels for some food, we do not speak much German and the owner went out of his way to translate the menu and even took our order for us. The food was very nice, great pasta selection. Would definitely go back if I was in the area.

Went here for a lazy Sunday lunch, as part of a stag do to Dusseldorf. We were feeling a little worse-for-wear, so this was a good option, with fresh, well cooked pasta dishes.Was a little pricey, particularly on the soft drinks (as a few of us weren't up for a beer at this point), but service was friendly and helpful.
