Cloud 9 Chocolate Cafe - Newtown

$3 per scoop,  the most price-worthy ice-cream in Sydney. I chose cone and they give me actually like two scoops because the flavour I chose is a mixture of two. And that's tooooooo much! The ice-cream tastes nice, and there are a few seats available in the shop as well.  They also offer bread, cookies. However, the $3 discount is over now as I passed by today. But they increase the price to $4 which is still appealing.

If your a chocolate fiend like myself then I suggest a visit to Cloud 9. I chose Nutella ice cream drizzled in milk chocolate that went hard like ice magic, sandwiched between a triple chocolate brown drizzled in more milk and dark chocolate. This was heavenly indulgent and only $8!!!! Everything is so well priced there. They have a good range of gelato flavours and the staff are friendly.

They recently renovated the place and not its called C9 with a black and white theme. They have increased their prices! I usually get the molten lava cake which comes with gelato and fresh strawberries at $8 and now they raised the price up to $13. Ice creams also use to be $3 a scoop which was fantastic and now they are $4.80 scoop! After having dinner in Newtown it was great to go down the road and go to Cloud Nine for some reasonably priced dessert! That is why I went to Cloud Nine instead of the rest of the dessert stops ie Messina! But for the same price I would rather go to Messina.

$3 for one scoop!! There were lots of fun flavours on display but I chose the weekly special of 'mandarin with dried strawberries'. It does actually taste like mandarin (like .. you can tell it's mandarin and not orange) but also it was veeery sweet. I really appreciate how the staff member made sure there were a few strawberries in the cup! And I would like to come back to try more flavours. Note that the store recently renovated and is now called C9 with a black and white logo.

Omg the best cookie ice cream sandwich, with gorgeous gelato, gooey cookies and tones of warm melted chocolate. If you're more simple with your dessert desires you can also enjoy just a simple scoop of gelato!
