Brisket was a little dry but could have just been the piece I got otherwise everything was well cooked and had good smoky flavour. Is there better bbq in the world? yes. Is there better in Sydney? Not that I've found yet.
We were so hungry we didn't even take a minute to snap a quick photo. Having arrived fairly late, there was only brisket remaining and a range of sides; we didn't deter! And thank god! Omg if you're after meat meat and more meat, this is the spot to go. The brisket was sweet, salty, tender and absolutely delicious! The combination of the sharp coleslaw mixed with the salty BBQ sauce and sweet delicious meat had me salivating before I'd even tasted it hahahaah All I can say is we will definitely be going back! As soon as possible too lol P.s: the mac n cheese is THE BOMB!
Food was delicious. I had the brisket sandwich with mac n cheese. The slow cooked smoky meat just melts in your mouth. Now, this is what we came for. The mac n cheese was ok. It was cheesy, no doubt but lacked a special something. I'm a fan of macn cheese, and even Belle's mac n cheese isn't up to my standard but Miss Peaches, she's onto something. Venue was a bit small, am hoping that one day they will expand to a bigger venue. Because the venue is small it is limiting in what service and utilities are offered. There was no running water or anything that you could clean your hands before and after getting intimate with the smoked meats besides the tub of tissues on the side. With no table water offered, you're almost cornered into buying a beverage to wash down the tasty meats. Here's to hoping they get big enough one day! Doesn't feel like a place for a sit down though.
I do not rhibk this restaurant deserve a big hoohah how fantastic the Texas style BBQ. The meat not juicy. Taste like left over and reheat in the oven. Only the beef ribs taste better. The brisket and pork ribs so dry. The staff service also dry. I hope they can improve
A decent American bbq experience in Sydney. It's very much a mixture of bbq styles from the US with all the favourites. The brisket is very good and the pork ribs are well smoked but a little on the large side. The sides are the traditional vinegar slaw, burnt end beans and the mac and cheese is just like the south, not too much thinking and a lot of mac and cheese. A great experience and kind of like a Sydney Mighty Quinns!
