Roy's Newport Beach

We have been dining at Roy's Newport since it first opened, so we were saddened to hear that it will be closing. The food has always been fresh and delicious. During our last visit last week, the food was still good, but we noticed that the service was not up to par. It seemed like they had some temporary staff working to serve the last few days before closing.

We were very disappointed to learn this location will be closed on Christmas day forever. The bartender was great, the food was good but you could tell the servers were just waiting for the end to come.

Always a great meal! A little overpriced, but overall enjoyed the experience and the ambiance.

We went for my wife's 70th birthday. This restaurant is a favorite of ours for such occasions. We're never disappointed. However, we favor fish and never have tried the beef. Chocolate soufflé dessert is fantastic.

My experience at Roy's for Christmas dinner was the worst meal I have ever had. The prix fixed menu was disappointing and did not meet my expectations.
