Same chairs and old decor from 30 years ago I know they got COVID why do black businesses not put back into their business
AMAZING!!! Simply AMAZING! Don’t go in unless you can exhibit self control or have a team to drag you out.
If you're planning a trip to Georgia, you absolutely must make a stop at this incredible restaurant! Having lived in Georgia for two decades, I can confidently say that this place offers a dining experience like no other. And the best part? It's all-you-can-eat for just $15!The country food they serve here is truly exceptional. From the perfectly fried chicken to the fresh and flavorful vegetables, every bite is a delight. And let me tell you, their Mac and Cheese is something out of this world – it's the best I've ever had! Don't even get me started on the stuffing and chicken gravy the flavors are simply unbelievable.Save some room for dessert because their banana pudding and chocolate pudding taste like they were made with love at home. And if you prefer something slightly less sweet, their strawberry cake is just perfect. One of the things that sets this place apart is the outstanding service and warm hospitality. It's a family-run business, and they truly make you feel like part of their family. The genuine care they show for their customers is something that keeps people coming back time and time again. So, if you want to experience the true essence of Georgia's country cuisine and be treated like family, make sure to visit this wonderful restaurant. You won't regret it!
The people at Shirley's are great! Very friendly. The Fried Chicken is probably the best in the area. Fried perfectly crispy, and the meat is tender and juicy. Only critique on the chicken was the batter is a bit too salty. But overall I loved the chicken. However, the sides were a bit of a disappointment. The macaroni and cheese was good. The green beans were very bland, almost straight from the can taste. The cornbread dressing was boring. The black-eyed peas were cooked well, but a bit too salty. The plain cornbread was ok, not great. However, the jalapeno cornbread was very good. We ate very little of the sides. AND as I could tell from the plates of other guests there, everyone ate their chicken, but I did see lots of uneaten side items. DEFINITELY side dishes need improvement. Value was not great. We paid $31 for two people for the buffet. Essentially we ate 4 pieces of chicken between the two of us for $31. However, it did include the drink. The salad bar could also use some major attention. Looked a bit drab.Overall, I would DEFINITELY GO BACK to get the Fried chicken, but maybe to-go. I also want to go back when they do fish, which I have a feeling they will do a good job with fish. I also like that they are small locally owned business. I would recommend them, and you may have a different experience.
