Da Taste - Newcastle

I had the curry chicken roti, with channa and no potatoes. It was fantastic! would recommend! It had a slightly sweet taste, which I thought was from tamarind sauce, but they don't add it... I was presently confused They wouldn't share their secret with me, so I'll have to keep going back!

Of us ordered at work, they began making the food before they opened not one order was messed up. Very impressed, food tastes amazing highly recommend

Bad portion size. Chicken was ok got a jerk chicken poutine size is small

Been coming here for a while now. Been trying lots of Caribbean places aside from this one. This is the best place outside of Ajax or Toronto, bar none. Everywhere else over charges for sub par portion sizes and taste.

The food and service was really good but there were things that could be better. First the ventilation was flawed and the dining area had a fog of smoke to the extent that it was hard to breathe. Second thing is that the place was full of fruit flies, I mean full... you could not enjoy a bite without flies bugging you. Lastly, I asked for napkins, and they said they only have white cloth and no tissues or napkin, which was surprising to me. All in all, with some improvements this place could be an amazing restaurant.
