Mama Dukes - Newburyport

Eight weeks ago, my daughter began her winter field hockey training in Byfield. Due to Covid restrictions, we couldn't watch her practices, so my husband and I decided to explore a different breakfast spot in the area each week. During our fourth week, someone recommended MamaDukes. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed by friendly staff who were attentive and offered great suggestions. While we savored our coffee, we caught a whiff of the delicious homemade bread coming from the kitchen—what a treat! When our food arrived, it exceeded our expectations; it was absolutely fantastic! The Hollandaise sauce was spot on. We had a wonderful experience! After three more weeks visiting different breakfast places, we promised our daughter that we would take her to our favorites after her final practice. Well, today was that day, and out of the seven locations we tried, MamaDukes was hands down the best! She loved it and couldn't have been happier! We highly recommend checking it out.

I want to start by saying that if you're looking for a delicious breakfast, you should definitely stop by The Villager. The restaurant has great reviews, and for a good reason! I tried the veggie omelet with Swiss cheese and ham, and it was fantastic. I also had the house corned beef hash, which is honestly the best I’ve ever tasted. I highly recommend paying a visit!

I stopped by on a Friday morning and found the atmosphere to be warm, casual, and inviting. The service was excellent, and the food was absolutely AMAZING! I ordered the crispy homemade beef hash with two perfectly cooked over-easy eggs, accompanied by homemade raisin toast. I just landed a job in Newburyport, and I will definitely be coming back! I can’t wait!

The food is amazing and you can order takeout. We love the cinnamon of raisin bread and buy it from Laaf!

When they say a place has nothing bad on the menu they are talking about Mamadukes. Everything I’ve tried so far has been outstanding and the people who work there couldn’t be nicer. Absolute must try if you’re in Newburyport.
