Sforno Pizza - New York City

I ordered the white chicken Caesar salad pizza, and it was outstanding! I was so impressed that I went back inside to tell the friendly waiter how much I enjoyed it. Interestingly, at other pizza places, that would typically be two slices, but here it was just one gigantic slice. For only $5.39, I got an enormous piece of pizza. Truly superb! Ironically, I’m not even a fan of pizza, but I highly recommend this place!

I visit this place at least once a week. The pizza is excellent, the staff is fantastic, and they have one of the best chicken Parmesan heroes in the city!

I found the pizza to be extremely dry and bland, yet still somehow salty. It was almost like eating cardboard! Even while drinking, I felt thirsty. I also tried the chicken cutlet with a tomato slice, but I'm not sure if the other options are any better—I'll update if I find one that is. I had to add a lot of garlic and other spices to make it somewhat edible, and I didn't even add salt! I honestly don't understand the rave reviews—there are so many great slice shops in the area! Just because a slice is large doesn’t mean it’s tasty or even enjoyable. The service wasn’t very accommodating either. In the end, I only managed to eat about two-thirds of the slice, which is unheard of for me! I ended up having a snack bag of combos and a glass of red wine for dinner instead.

Sforno is such a wonderful addition to the neighborhood! I've ordered large numbers of pizzas for several community events and it's always such a hit. Working with Peter has been a delight! The cheese pizza is perfect, and I'm also a big fan of the Grandma pizza (their speciality). We're so glad to have Sforno nearby and I look forward to eating their amazing pizzas for years to come.
