Chopt Creative Salad Co - New York City

My salad is always yum ! Even though I have to ask for more kale after is done because the kale shrinks during the process. The service is also great , but two things I don't like is the loud music and there is a cashier that I can't never understand what she says lol. Other than that the place is clean and spacious.

Chopt is always good if you want a salad. Make your own is the way to go, don't get one of their specialty salads and try to swap out a bunch of what you don't want for what you do, it slows down the line. They are saying they are cash free, so have a card ready to pay.(pretty sure this is illegal to force people to use cards for payment and refuse cash). They say it speeds up the line, but there isn't a line at the register, it is at the chopping area. This process is the only reason for the 4 stars instead of 5. The food is delicious.

I don't usually get salad at Chop't, but it was close, so I went in and ordered a Palm Beach with shrimp and was very disappointed with the service and quality. The tomatoes were over ripe and soft and the shrimp is bland (no seasoning at all). Also, the person who prepared my salad was not pleasant and seemed impatient at I was trying to choose a different dressing. This was after the lunch rush, so there were about 3 people there at the time. I'm paying for a service and if I cannot get good service, I'll go to Just Salad where the salads are usually fresh and I get service with a smile.

Ordered delivery here for lunch for the first time and enjoyed it. I ordered a custom bowl and everything tasted fresh but my order was missing chickpeas. I didn't have time to call and have it delivered again. The portion was great and I love how everything came perfectly blended. I also enjoyed the white balsamic vinegarette, I just wish my order was correct being that I paid for an extra ingredient I did not receive.

I work in the area at a financial firm, so I've been here many times over the years, since I work in close proximity and I will say that this particular location has lost their quality/ standard. I've gone here a few times, since returning to the office and each time within the last few months, the customer service wasn't good at all. Also, the care and time that was put into building a salad is no longer there. The staff all seem to be in a rush (even without a line), very inattentive/ dismissive, also my salad today was DRENCHED with salad dressing by the young lady with the gold/ black extensions who didn't even ask just how much dressing I wanted (they have in the past), not to mention she spent her time cackling with her fellow co worker (over the open metal bowl might I add), and the staff just all seem unprofessional, as if the customers were getting the salad for free! The person before the mixer barely added the toppings and when I asked for the pickled onions, he simply said that they didn't have any (noting that their prepping it downstairs). I had to ask if he could go see if they were done prepping and that I didn't mind waiting and he visibly became annoyed I'd think they would continuously replenish as things ran low. I'd like to add that it was after 3pm, so there wasn't a line whatsoever. This location used to be ran like a well oiled machine and now it's horrible my experience and review today is based off of multiple days of substandard service. I even purchased one of the signature dressings because I actually DO love the salad chain, but it has become intolerable! I'll take my business to Just Salad at this point. Hire new staff or use these reviews as a means of coaching on professionalism and service, because it's currently deplorable!
