Maoz Central Park - New York

Pretty good chain felafel place right by the Central Park Conservatory garden, inside the park.

This restaurant in a kiosk in Central Park is one of the last remaining Maoz restaurants in New York only one other remains as of now. The menu features falafel, in pita sandwiches, bowls and salads. We had the falafel sandwich. With the salad dressings added, it was very substantial. The setting of the restaurant couldn't be any nicer right on Harlem Meer (a park lake), and near the beautiful Conservatory Garden. Seating is on the nearby park benches. The food is good, not fancy, just vegetarian fast food.

You can’t go wrong with ordering a bowl and relaxing at the Conservatory Garden just a few feet away.

I moved away from New York but here to say I exclusively miss just this place. Come to LA! :

Maoz Vegetarian is great. As a proud carnivore, I rather quickly gotten excited about Maoz Vegetarian being an awesome place for a meal. Especially with it's easy to find location on the edge of and within Central Park. The falafel is delicious, and base (lettuce, spinach, or kale options), and the vegetable fixings are so fresh and well-seasoned. I'll be back; I recommend others to try. Quickness of service: If a busy day, 1 person has to go get fresh ingredients. If that is happening, the service is a little slow, but still worth the wait.
