Sauce - New York

I really love the Sauce Pizzeria which is around the corner. I was, not impressed with the sit down restaurant. We went in the early afternoon, when the restaurant was middling busy. First, the waiter tried to take our order about 15 seconds after we sat down, while I was still trying to load the menu from the QR code. I asked him to come back shortly. Despite there being four waiters manning three tables, it was over twenty minutes before someone came back to take our order. All of the waiters failed to acknowledge my attempts to flag them down. I was actually in the process of gathering our stuff to leave when the waiter finally came back. So, we ordered and our food came within two minutes. Which is a good sign at a fast food restaurant. Less impressive at a fairly nice restaurant where you would hope that items were prepared from scratch rather than microwaved per order. We had a meatball appetizer, which my daughter liked, but definitely tasted like it had been frozen and reheated. The sauce on the fettuccine Bolognese was superb. The fettuccine itself was adequate, which is to say not as good as pretty much anywhere else in the area. The garlic bread was good, but extremely expensive. It isn't magic bread. It should not cost almost as much as a slice of pizza. I was saddened by the broccoli rabe. It was overcooked and drowning in oil. Literally drowning. The oil could have been used as a dip for an entire loaf of the aforementioned garlic bread. Also, while we were eating, in the first two minutes, each of the four waiters came to ask us if everything was going okay. Honestly, I can't tell you at that point, because I haven't had more than one bite! After that, despite repeatedly trying to flag a waiter down for water, it was nearly impossible to get any of them to pay attention. Finally I asked for a check. It took another twenty minutes to get the check. The waiter apologized for that, saying they were having some trouble with the machine. The time

Staff are insanely friendly and accommodating. The vibes are very fun and chill. Food is classic Italian pizza, pasta, entrees. It was so yummy and I?d go back again any day!

Went on a Saturday night without a reservation and didn?t have a problem getting seated. Service was quick and very friendly. Really cool ambiance, the decor are lighting are nice in addition to this being a great location. Honestly, I?ve had better Italian food elsewhere but this is still pretty good. Will be back.

The waiter Bryan is the best waiter I?ve ever met! So friendly, sweet, nice, he?s the best!! And the food was amazing! My friend and I got the mozzarella (as good as in Italy , the garlic toast, and pasta, everything was so good! I also love the atmosphere and especially the music (I Shazam every song . It?s a really trendy place with trendy people! I?ll come back for sure! Thank you again Bryan and see you soon! ;

Love love love this place! The Steak Tagliata was such a unique and flavorful dish. I wish I lived closer as I would eat there weekly. Staff is very friendly and efficient. The vibe is both casual or great for a date night.
