East Pole Fish - New York

Food is not as good as it was last year! Shrimp tempura was drowning in gloppy sauce. The west coast oysters were tasteless. The rest of the meal was ok. Waitress could have come by more often to refill water glasses. Wine was most excellent

We ordered fish against the recommended burger by others, not the restaurantOur appetizers included raw, Japanese style fish which was mediocre and complex. I would keep it simple and high quality. There are too many sofisticated competitors that innovate better.The Dover sole was sub par. It’s expensive and much better almost anywhere.It’s a neighborhood joint , badly needed. Keep it simple and high quality. It’s an attractive place with good service.Fred Food

I believe the staff must have been having a off night. The host gave us a secondrate table and when I asked to have one of the banquettes instead, I was told they were reserved for other guests they remained empty all evening I was among the last to leave the restaurant. It took about minutes after sitting down before anyone came to take a drinks order; then it took another or more minutes to receive the drinks. I had to ask for water four times before anyone brought it. The neighboring table said they had much the same experience, and finally I had to tell our waitress that she needed to up the game or else my dinner companion and I were going to leave. I tried to complain to the host at the end of the evening, but was unable to do so because he already had left the restaurant before the last diners did. I have dined here several times before without any problem, so again I suspect the staff was having an off night

Disappointed. Had a bad experience relative to a really nice one at this Restaurant in the past. Completely disorganized. All tables had issues with getting drinks and food. Way, way too expensive for that experience. Disappointed to have come here for a special occasion

Spectacular in every way! Louis and Nikki made every effort to make my birthday special! From champagne to start the evening to treats around every corner plus food made to perfection. All in candle light with smiles all around I can’t wait to be back! Thank you for a night to remember! You can tell this team has passion for food and people! Heart and soul here at East Pole Fish!
